# Can I port an existing mobile number to Notifyre?

Yes, Notifyre supports [SMS number porting](https://support.notifyre.com/virtual-sms-number-porting?hsLang=en). This allows you to transfer your existing mobile number to Notifyre and use it as a dedicated virtual SMS number for sending and receiving SMS messages.

### ⚠️ Important: What happens after porting?

Once your mobile number is ported to Notifyre:

- It becomes a **virtual SMS number**.
- You will **no longer be able to make or receive phone calls** using that number.
- The number will be used **exclusively for SMS messaging** via the Notifyre platform.
