Can I set an SMS character limit?

Yes. Notifyre supports the ability to set a maximum character count limit per SMS message attempted online within your Notifyre account. 

To configure this setting, the Account Owner/ Admin user can:   

  • Login to the  Notifyre Dashboard 
  • Select "Settings" on the left navigation 
  • Select “SMS” from the dropdown menu 
  • Under "General", under the 'Character Limit', toggle this on, to display the option to enter the 'Max number of message parts"
  • Select from the maximum number of message parts available from the drop-down: between 1 (=160 characters) to 8 (=1224 characters).
  • Click, 'Save'. 

 

💡Notifyre SMS Character Limits set on an account apply only to SMS attempted online within the Notifyre Dashboard. Character limits currently do not apply to Email-to-SMS or API SMS sending.
