How to use Conversations to manage SMS replies
The Conversations tool acts as your SMS inbox, allowing you to review replies and have two-way conversations with your contacts.
✅ Requirements for Receiving SMS Replies
To receive replies in the Conversation Tool you must send your message from a dedicated virtual SMS number.
Australia Only: If you send SMS using a Shared System Number or Sender ID, replies will not appear in Conversations.
Reviewing Replies in Conversations
- Unread replies are marked with a notification icon showing the number of unread messages from each contact.
- If the sender is saved in your Address Book, their name will appear in the reply list.
- If the sender is not saved, only their mobile number will be shown.
You can add them to your Address Book to display their name in future replies.
Having SMS Conversations with Contacts

- Click on the contact name or number to open the message thread.
