# How to Reset Your Password

## Resetting your Notifyre password

Notifyre users can update or reset their password via their Notifyre account or via a Password Reset process for users who have forgotten their password.

#### If you have forgotten your password:  

1. Visit the [Forgot Password page](https://login.notifyre.com/reset-password) or Click **Forgot Password? **on the [Login page](https://app.notifyre.com/)
2. Enter the email address associated with your Notifyre account.
3. Click **Reset Password**
4. An email with a password reset link and a six-digit verification code will be sent to the entered email address.    
   ⚠️The verification code is valid for 24 hours. After this time, you will need to repeat the above steps to receive a new verification code.

5. Copy the six-digit verification code
6. Click **Reset Password**
7. Paste the six-digit verification code
8. Enter a new password into the **New Password** field. Please ensure your new password includes:  
     1. a capital letter
     2. a small letter
     3. a number
     4. a special character
     5. a minimum 12 characters
9. Re-enter your new password into the **Confirm Password** field
10. Click **Update Password**.  

#### Updating or changing your password via the Notifyre dashboard: 

1. [Login](https://app.notifyre.com/dashboard) to your Notifyre account 
2. Select **Settings** on the left navigation 
3. Select **Account** from the dropdown menu 
4. From the top tab, select **Security**
5. Enter your current password
6. Enter your new password. Please ensure your new password includes:  
     1. a capital letter
     2. a small letter
     3. a number
     4. a special character
     5. a minimum 8 characters
7. Re-enter your new password to confirm
8. Click, **Save**.
