1. Understanding Notifyre User Roles
Before assigning permissions, it’s important to choose the right role for each team member. Notifyre supports five user types:

Admin |
Full access to everything, including account settings, billing, reporting, contact address book, message activity and can send fax & SMS. The admin role is perfect for account managers. |
Full User |
Can send and receive fax or SMS, manage contacts, and view sent and received activity. Ideal for active team members. |
User |
Can send and receive fax & SMS only. |
Limited User |
Can send and receive fax & SMS only from their assigned number(s). See how to assign numbers |
Developer |
Access to developer tools (API tokens, webhooks). Cannot send or receive messages. Ideal for software integration work. No ability to send or receive through the online platform. |
2. Add users to your Notifyre team

When you add team member you are required to choose from one of the available user roles.
⏱️An Admin can configure number permissions for a team member only after the user has accepted their invitation, created their account, and completed multi-factor authentication (MFA) setup.
3. Assign Number Permissions (optional)
For more control Notifyre admins can allocate one or more numbers to a user.
How to assign and manage number permissions
- Click on the 3 dots next to the team member
- Select "Edit Role"
- To assign number access:
- Use the dropdown to select a number you’d like to assign.
- Click “Add” to apply the number to the user.
- Alternatively, select “All Numbers” to give the user access to every number on the account.

By default, each number is added with “View Own Only” enabled. This means:

The user can send from that number.

The user can only view their own activity for that number.

Optional:

Uncheck “View Own Only” if you want the user to have the ability to send and see all message activity associated with that number.
